that would be like buying a fire extinguisher just so you could set your house on fire.

I'm not real familiar with them to be honest. However one of our bigtime customers has about 50 carts, mainly carryall Gas models down at a local fertilizer plant. You talk about nasty... now these are. A 6-month old car looks like it's about to fall apart. They splash through the mud puddles after they soak up all the nitrogen in the air and it completely destroys anything steel. He's tried the sacrificial anode before and he said it did seem to help. He's still not using them on every car at the moment. Why, i don't know. I'm guessing so he can make more money on the repairs. He makes his living changing leaf springs basically. A set of heavy duty ones last about 3-4 months before they rust out and break.

sounds like they need to look into composite leaf springs. they are expensive, but so is replacing springs every 3 months!

have they tried powder coating?

He doesn't care... the people who rent them out pay him to repair the damage. The contractors don't seem to care either... Lucky for him.... he's making $$$$$$$$$$$$$$$$$$$$$

I've installed powder coated flip-seats on some vehicles for him to send out there.. they don't last either. It's awful. After 2 years the average person would consider them totalled.
