starter switch??
1999 285 ezgo gas. the switch that activates the starter when you press the gas broke, until i replace it can you bypass the switch which keeps the starter turning all the time??? or is that what it is doing with the switch anyway. please advise.... thank you

You run a "switched" 12v line down to the connector on the base of the solenoid that trips it.. This is the same small diameter wire that goes to the starter. You can test it by touching a 12v lightly to the connection at the base of the solenoid to see if it trips the solenoid and spins the starter.. attach that and add the switch, and that is your new pedal. Be careful. |

Also, yes 12v stays on to it while it is running..when it runs on it's on, it begins charging instead.
