Found my speed problem, need advice.
After some detective work about my slow uphill climbs, I think I've solved the case........the motor is 2hp!
I think I need to go with something bigger so what do I need to do besides bolt on a bigger motor or is that all I need to do? Any help is appreciated. |

Re: Found my speed problem, need advice.
It's a 96. Not sure of the system. It has the FR lever with microswitches and no toggle switch above the controller. I think that's relevant.
Also have a charger question: It never starts above 6 amps. It's an automatic charger. Is that normal? |

Re: Found my speed problem, need advice.
You have a TXT with no toggle switch on the controller cover that is a Series cart.
The Powerwise charger should always start above 12 amps for the 1st stage the taper as it completes the charge cycle..... your problem may be the charger needs a circuit board and is not properly charging the batteries? |

96 it could be a medalist, but that's just splitting hairs.....
If the charger is outputting low amps, that could be a bad diode board or a bad capacitor..... That charger should ALWAYS start at 20Amps unless the battery pack voltage is below 24 volts (in which case you would have had to jump the batteries to get it to start charging in the first place). |

Re: Found my speed problem, need advice.
Great news. Looks like a weak capacitor in the charger. I do AC work and had one in the truck. Plugged it in and the needle jumped up to near 20 amps! Thanks for the help again!
