2001 EZGO txt decelleration rattle

I have a 2001 eago txt with a lift kit, brand new batteries and 4 gauge cables. Everything else is stock. I noticed a rattle coming from "around " the motor when i let off the pedal to slow down. It only does it when going fast. I changed the bearings on the input shaft and still same problem, only now there is a rattle while moving and slowing down. I dont know what else to look for. Motor Bearings? if so, how do you get the shaft out of the motor? Thanks

Have you checked the rear end to make sure it has oil in it?

I replaced all the bearings in my motor/differential, axle, etc., and filled with new oil. It quieted up quite a bit, but does make a noise when I freewheel, especially if I'm turning. I wouldn't describe it as a rattle, but don't really know how to describe it. My oil didn't have any metal particles in it, so with new bearings, it's as tight as it's gonna get.

I just chalk it up to the fact that mine is a 1998, and it has some miles on it. Yours is also getting up there in age, and the noise maybe just old age.

I have brand new synthetic gear oil in it. Everything is good and tight in the axle.
