Wire/Cable ?
Greetings,
I am a newbie here to the site and golf carts. I have a 1996 EZ GO TXT. A couple of my cables are kinda nasty from the guy I bought it from and would like to replace a few cables. One of them run from that black box to the battery. My question is what kind of wire/cable does this require? 6-Gauge or 4-gauge? I am going to try to purchase cable ready to install, but not sure what gauge is needed. I will try to attach a photo I took from a member here to help show what I am talking about. Again, sorry if this has been asked, as I am new to this! Many thanks, nyyfan |

Re: Wire/Cable ?
Welcome to BGW!
OEM cable is 6g and its crap in my opinion. We like to replace ALL the high current cables with 4g welding cable and silver soldered copper lugs. If you have the skillset to make them, great. If not I recommend purchasing them from Carts Unlimited, a site sponsor. |
