Question 2008 Drive Left Axle Hub Nut Loose

The left axle shaft hub nut continues to require retightening. Every couple of months, I have to torque the nut to elimnate a tin rattle noise. Is there a good fix or improved part exist??

I have replaced the nuts and used lock tight on them to keep them from backing off. this is a very common issue with the drive cart. GOOD LUCK.

carman...the noise your hearing does it sound like a tin can rattling around underneath the rear clutch area only at wide open speeds? if so then i have the same problem as you. Ill take my rear wheels off and see if my axles nuts are loose. I always thought the noise was from my secondary clutch which it still could be but ill investigate my axles today. I wonder how many ft/lbs of torque these need to be torqued to? maybe just hit them with some locktite and an impact for a second or two.

Thanks for the reply. Torque on the nut is 70 - 80 foot pounds.
