Precedent AMD Motor GG0-4001
I have recieved so much useful information from the site, I thought I would provide some feedback for anyone looking to upgrade their motors.
I have a 2004 Precedent and just installed an American Motors and Drives motor (model GG0-4001). If you are going to upgrade I would consider this one. You can find it for around $500. With a stock controller and 205-30-12 tires I am getting 25 mph on a flat stretch and 22-23 mph uphill in the neighborhood. I have noticed quite an increase in torque over the PQ Bandit I had previously. I did like the Bandit, but due to my error, I burned it up. |

I think that is the same motor I have. 5 hp @ 3750 rpm.
I like mine I have a 350 amp cuttis controller and it does real good. |

What size hills are you talking about to get 22-23 mph uphill?

Mine holds good speed up hill also, but if you stop on a really steep hill it will not pull out it will stall. The bandit would pull out on same hill but went slower up the hill. I'm talking more like 45-60 degree hill.

Re: Precedent AMD Motor GG0-4001
The AMD3294 motor is a great motor with an Alltrax XCT 400 or Curtis 1268 400A. With a stock controller, no amps to produce torque from a stop on a 20° hill. That motor is what I was running before I upgraded to the Executioner. It is now in a DS with a 500A GE controller and will do 28-30 on stock tires.

A stock controller will only let you go 19.6mph w/o a speed magnet.(no mention of it). He might be gaining a little torque from the small tires. 205-30-12 =16.8". But losing more speed.

That is with a stock motor. This motor on speed code 4 will get close to 25 mph.
