84v ezgo? will this last
Well i was at golf cart shop today and drove a ezgo cart they just finished
Anyhow the cart had seven 12v yellow top optima gel cell batteries and a flight system 1000 amp controller? (never heard of) They were using two chargers. A 48v and a 36v I must say it was a nice cart and it was very quick but will this last? |

They were using one 48v charger to charge four batts
And a 36v charger to charge the other three Will that even work when the pack is 84v in series? |

Re: 84v ezgo? will this last
Just because no one else has posted but the setup sounds like a long term disaster. That would be a crazy way to charge the setup. Optima Gel batteries will not have a long life cycle and the power 1000 amp controller. I am thinking that is a lot of heat to deal with. Sounds like an electrical nightmare. Care to tell the price?

At 84 volts, you're getting close to being able to power your home during a power outage. Just need a old-school vibrator. I have a bunch of railroad vibrators, but I'd have to gang a few together. They're 32 volt dc in. 60 Hz out.

I remember those in car radios! We used to use them in series with ignition coils for electric fences. That was back in the 50's when the car radio had more metal in it than a new car!

I drove it acrossed the parking lot and i must say it was quick
I would guess 40-45 mph before i ran out of lot I just cant see it lasting very long with those batts. And im still lost on how they charge it? |

I never saw one in person, but always assumed the radios used tubes and needed filament and plate voltages.
