Re: Checklist for purchase?
I wanted to tell you to take a hard look at the charger but I see that Adam has mentioned it.
Changing my springs was the first thing I did. Like the picture here mine was a bad leaner to the drivers side. Swapping did not help for me. I went with the HD springs and coil over shocks. I like that the cowl is in good shape, I had a tough time finding a replacement, windshield looks good as does the seating. It seems to be in as good a shape as my 95. In NW Fla I paid right around 1K, with good almost new rubber. Good luck and keep us posted on the outcome. |

Re: Checklist for purchase?
FWIW, I paid $2,000 for mine in the Atlanta area. Brakes were worn, steering was worn, rear-end creaked and groaned, and batteries only had several years remaining.
Did I get the best deal? Probably not, but it's been fun. |

Re: Checklist for purchase?
Yes. Clicking indicates the charger relay has not been bypassed, and it will automatically turn on and should turn off. The circuit boards can be replaced, but I believe they're around $85 or so. Not a deal-killer, but an additional expense. Charger can still be used if relay was bypassed, but you'll have to unplug it yourself, as it won't automatically turn off.

Re: Checklist for purchase?
CORRECTION......
I GOT IT FOR $850 Brakes locked up. The cart was parked on uneven spot in the lot and made it look lower on one side, but it's not when on a completely flat spot. Some rust in the battery compartment. The charger connector on the the cart is loose and the corner broke off where it connects to the cart. Nothing wrong with the connector part itself. Batteries are not Trojans, forget the brand. All show 5.9 or 6.0 v. 36v for entire pack. After driving cables were a little warm, not bad. I'm happy with it, and I guess that's all that matters, huh? I just didn't want to pay too much for the condition it's in and not be able to re-sell at some point if I want. Thanks everyone for the help on the purchase. Now you'll get to help me trick it out Here's a pic from the side |

Re: Checklist for purchase?
Batteries are dead. Get them on the charger and see if you can get them up before running it, if you can stand to not play with your new toy.
Go here and read up on batteries: http://www.cartsunlimited.net/ I prolly woulda bought it myself. |

Re: Checklist for purchase?
Also, DCS controllers fry if you run them when the batteries are too low, based on what I've read here.
