Re: pack voltage on all solenold post
Scott. my daughter has my PC right now and Im using a tablet and want work with printer..
The F/R wires are as follows. It has 3 wires to rocker switch also has a 4 wire plug for handset. Brown {forward} goes to controller Orange {neutral} {voltage} goes to a sonic weld, from there green to key switch red to reverse buzzer grey to controller lt green to tow switch white to OBC blue (reverse} to controller. I did reverse the wires yesterday and cant remember if it did the same or did nothing....Im getting old...Just know it didn't work. I did however put the reverse and voltage wire together with no results and also with forward and voltage wires...nothing. The rocker switch test good according to the manual |

Re: pack voltage on all solenold post
A good schematic would help. I'm not familiar enough with all of the differences these carts have, they changes a lot sometimes. I don't remember, did you test the motor?

Re: pack voltage on all solenold post
yes sir....I did the continuity test....Didn't do the actual run test due to the cart running fine in reverse, but I can do the run test tomorrow if it stops raining long enough...

Re: pack voltage on all solenold post
I would need a schematic to really look it down but I'm still GUESSING the controller, If you could swap it out to see would save you some time, maybe money.

Re: pack voltage on all solenold post
I will check around the campground to see if anyone has the same controller, problem is most are starting to leave the campground for the winter, not many of us left...
I will get my PC back in the next day or so and scan the schematic In the meantime I will start over on the sequence of testing per manual Thanks for your help so far.... Bill |

Re: pack voltage on all solenold post
yes, Since you replaced the solenoid, you need to retest.

Re: pack voltage on all solenold post
UPDATE.....well sorta of an update. This cart had more broken and corroded wires than any I have worked on. The main problem in testing was that someone had added a wire from the battery to the control wires making everything hot all the time. Guess, that's why the testing was all whacky. After testing and retesting, it came down to motor or controller. The motor showed good continuity but would not run when jumped. It was suggested that I switch the wires on the motor, which I did and the cart runs fine, now only in forward which eliminates the motor.
There is a older gentleman that owns the cart and not sure how much he can put into getting it fixed. I don't like used or rebuilt electrical parts but now trying to talk him into a rebuilt controller. I will post more when he gets a controller Thanks to all for helping on this "Devil" cart |
