1991 club car ds gas
from what I been reading the motor in the 1991 is counter clock wise can I run a motor in it that is clockwise are will this not work I can buy a brand new motor for 800.00 shipped to me

~From 1985 to 1996 CC/Kawi engines and trans-axles have a Counter Clockwise rotation.
~From 1997 to the present, CC/Kawi engines and trans-axles rotate Clockwise. With your 91? YES... "You could" put a CW engine in it, but, you'll have to have the shifter in reverse to go forward! and you may have to do some fabricating! (engine mount, throttle cable, air and fuel lines... etc.) But... WHY??? your 1991 DS is a prime candidate for a larger engine, and more horsepower! IF... that $800.00 is going to a new FE290/350, you first might want to check into getting your KF82 rebuilt, Or, getting a "clone" engine setup from Vegas Carts, or you could "UP" the $ and get a V-twin kit from Cart Parts Plus! Note: Almost all small engines rotate Counter Clockwise! Except... the 97+ Club Car/Kawasaki engines! Hope this helps!  |
