G1 (j1700) pops when trying to start. Has spark, is geting fuel. Checked rear timing marks they line up. Cart turns over fine but it pops thru the exhaust. Any help would be appreciated.

Re: exhaust popping
possible a bad plug or plug wire? had something like that with a new plug for some reason the porcelain where it came in contact with base came loos which when compression stroke it would move up very slightly and on down stroke it moved back to the original poison this movement was very very slight. Also check obstructions in exhaust.
