Just an update. Took the trans apart to check things out and remove the governor. Everything looked good so I buttoned it up and installed it in the cart. Took it out and it runs great. I had pulled the flywheel and found that the timing had slipped back to I fixed that and now it'll pull 5k on the tach pretty easily.
On another note, is anyone running the steel stationary driven sheave? Looks like it would be better than the aluminium one. |
