Club car ds front body installation?
Have a question about the front body installation on my 2002 club car ds.
I know this is probably easier than I am making it out to be but any help would be much appreciated. Took the front body off a while ago and going to put it back on. How does the body go into the slot and work with the 4 small screws (2 on each side) and the t-nut that slides in slot? The tnut slides in slot and screws go in from other side so body must go in between them, but there are no holes in body for screws to go through and go into tnut? And how does tnut stay up since it just slides down if not held in place by screw from other side? |

Re: Club car ds front body installation?
If I'm reading this correctly, then yes, the body slides into the slot (under where the windshield would be) and tightening the 4 screws "clamps" down on the body. The screws do not go through the body.

Yes Mark is right, the screws clamp the body but do not go through it.

That's right it takes 2 hands and a tail to install.
Basically use a thin blade screwdriver or knife to slide the nuts into position while turning the screws. |

Re: Club car ds front body installation?
Hot tip for NEXT time. Just barely loosen the screws (1/2 turn) and slide the body out of the "slot". The T-nuts and screws will stay right where they belong. Then you won't need a tail or Scotty's help to reinstall them.

Re: Club car ds front body installation?
I don't ever remember taking the screws out during the 3 or 4 times I had the nose piece off/on my cart. Not because I was trying to keep them in, but because the nose piece just started coming easily out as I loosened them, so I stopped unscrewing them. So I never experienced the pain of putting them back in after they were out. Happy accident I guess.
