Identifying G9 rod bearing
The crank ID # is 2 and the Rod bearing ID is not legible so what should I do to get the right bearing?

Re: Identifying G9 rod bearing
Most of the suppliers have the listings,so when you call, just ask for a G2 Connecting-rod bearing-insert kit.Its 2-halves,usually about $15.How is the rod-bore?If its scored or damaged, replace the rod as well, same for the crank,if damaged,it may need to be turned undersize,so check that before ordering the bearing.Hope this helps.

Re: Identifying G9 rod bearing
They acutely show 3 different size rod bearings and the way you figure out which one is to subtract the Rod # from the crank#. That's the problem, I can see the crank# but not the Rod #. The Rod actually looks good as does the crank and both mic out to factory specs just not sure which one to order

Re: Identifying G9 rod bearing
Without the 2 numbers, it's a guess without all three rod bearings and "plastigauge". 9 out of 10 times it works out to be "black" J38-11656-10-00. Good luck on your rebuild
