Bad Boy Buggy controller/ battery issue
Hello,
I am new to this forum, and joined because of a lack of info the internet was providing on bad boy buggies. I have a customer that brought this buggy to me because the rear axle motor was not working. Upon inspection the controller was not turning on. I found a sevcon dealer to purchase and program a controller from. Upon programming they asked for system voltage. I flipped the seat up, counted (6) 6 volt batteries- assuming 36 volt system. I went and looked at the tags on the motors and they are labeled as 48 volt. I spoke with the customer. He bought it about a year ago from a guy who had just put new batteries in it. I'm thinking that guy put the wrong batteries in it. I was just wanting to confirm that this is a 48 volt system before I order the correct batteries for it and have them program the controller for 48 volt. I was really surprised that the controller for the front axle was still working and moving the cart operating on 36 volts. Thanks in advance! |
