When to Charge?
Looking for input from experienced cart owners. Question: How often should one charge their cart batteries? Our cart is used to do simple things aound the house thru out the day, get paper, mail, kids run over to Grandma's house, etc... Very seldom will it be used for constant moving (like on the golf course). My initial thought was to charge it each night, or recharge after it gets to the point it does not move. Any thoughts?
Also, is there any danger on the battery life if we constantly plug in the charger after every use? This would be ideal as the cart would be ready to go each time,,,,, |

Re: When to Charge?
No need to charge after every use.
Charge the batteries over night when you have used it more than 20 or 30 minutes of actual run time. This may happen in a day, and usually does. If you don't use it for 2, 3, 4 days, don't charge it. This is the way I have done all of mine, and the batteries are not burned up from lots of charging and the batteries last longer. There may be some who dissagree with this but it has worked for me in the past years. |

Re: When to Charge?
I agree. And never run it down to where it won't move! This will shorten the battery life. Since you sound interested...buy an inexpensive voltmeter at homedepot or auto store. 6.0 volts is an empty battery...learn more, get more out of your batteries -
