Default Cart is a no go

89' marathon, still a toaster oven. I drove the cart about a mile and parked. When I got back in about 30 minutes later, nothing. No forward, no reverse, no clicks, pops, sparks, or anything. The solenoid is already welded closed. Been running it like that for a while now. Probably not the best idea but, money is tight. I haven't used a multi meter but, battery meter is showing charge. How do you check F&R switch and if there's power getting to solenoid or motor? Anything else possible?

Do the solenoid first. Hard to diag with known-bad parts.

I'll put a meter to it and check continuity. Then, I'll put a jumper wire across it if nothing.

Checked solenoid and it's shot. Bypassed it and it's running, for now

Don't drive with a bypassed solenoid. IT is there as a safety feature in case your controller decides to go to full power on zero throttle.

My cart is still a toaster oven. The only controller it has is my foot.
