Molex pins and terminals?
What tool do you use to remove the wires from the white nylon molex connectors? I don't want to mess up the pins ( male or female), but need to remove some that are corroded to clean.
Also what tool do you use to reterminate the ends? And anyone have the correct part numbers/names and source for the pins ? |

Re: Molex pins and terminals?
Also, make sure You get an "Open Barrel" crimping tool as the "non-insulated" kind don't work.
http://www.amazon.com/HT-225D-Cycle-Ratchet-Crimping-interchangeable/dp/B007JLN93S/ref=sr_1_1?ie=UTF8&qid=1456844865&sr=8-1
That is the type of crimping tool You need, also look at the "Frequently Bought Together" link on that page, both items are on Prime. If You just need to remove some pins for now, just use the back of an ink cartridge from a "bic" type pen, it is the right diameter to remove the pins. |

Re: Molex pins and terminals?
You can also go to a hobby shop and get a piece of brass or aluminum tubing that is just the right diameter and make your own tool for cheap.

Sergio is the man. I looked for his name on the ballot when I voted today but didn't see it. I was disappointed.

Re: Molex pins and terminals?
These are the pins/sockets that match the Club Car "Molex Mini-Fit Jr" Series connectors, I included links to 2 different wire gauges:
Female socket: Series 5556 (18-24 gauge wire) http://www.mouser.com/ProductDetail/...jUcB4N5jzIk%3d Female socket: Series 5556 (16 gauge wire) http://www.mouser.com/ProductDetail/...LYpd9UGAwNY%3d Pin Terminal: Series 5558 (18-24 gauge wire) http://www.mouser.com/ProductDetail/...%2fKOcHQp6o%3d Pin Terminal: Series 5558 (16 gauge wire) http://www.mouser.com/ProductDetail/...NMK4XDdNuMY%3d |
