Re: Controller
When I install the Alltrax controller it will be already set up for 48v courtesy of carts unlimited, will I have to do anything with programming? Is there anything I should do?

Re: Controller
In my experience, no. In preparation for an eventual 48v upgrade I installed an Alltrax SPM (state of the art at the time). Coming from cartsunlimited it was plug and play. The drivability was at least as good as the original Curtis. Some years later I did connect a laptop just to "look". Didn't change a thing. Series carts are simple this way (compared to Sepex).
Edit: Just remembered the min/max voltage settings. This shouldn't be an issue when the controller comes from CU especially if he knows you are planning for 48v upgrade. Could be an issue requiring a change if the controller came from somewhere else or is previously owned. |

Re: Controller
I would look at the Navitas 600 amp controller. It is very easy to install and the performing is remarkable.

Re: Controller
I appreciate the info, but the cost is outside my reach right now. I am considering just replacing the batteries and cleaning everything well so I can get a baseline for how it performs once maintained as it should. I can always add batteries from 36v. Once I commit to 48v I commit to alot of other items. Hopefully new batteries and a clean system get me some improvement.

I explain the cart needs to be on 48v and they say but we just bought 36v. I know you have put a lot of thought into this already |
