Proof that Cleanliness is next to Golfiness

My 2000 DS has recently been sluggish going up a steep hill. In fact, if I floored it, it would shudder (never used to). Checked the batteries looking for a dud. But, simple checks showed nothing. Was about to jigger my VM to do a load test, when me thinks: "Let's clean all battery cable ends!" So I pulled each, cleaned cable ends as well as their posts. Some I had to clean with a file. Guess what; that was all that was wrong. Since I live near the sea, should have done this a long time ago.
