So would that be a bad controller? It's strange because once you start going at full speed as long as you don't come to a full stop the cart will keep going fast. I was thinking of ordering the XCT400 package but I would hat to spend $500+ and not have it fix the problem.

The controller has a slow down mode for welded closed solenoid. This is pretty easy to check. Remove the controller side cable and check the big posts for continuity... continuity should cut on/off with the clicking.

The controller has a slow down mode for failed speed sensor. Check this by pushing the cart with the key on, the beeper should sound and the regen braking should be applied as in roll away mode.

Lastly the 1-2 beep is a catch all code for any controller malfunction. I hope this helps

So this didn't happen when I rolled forward or backwards which is strange because I just replaced the speed sensor yesterday. Is there something that could be shorting out and ruining the sensor?

Should I buy another one and see what happens?

The Solenoid tested fine.
