Default Re: RXV Disconnect Controller to Trace Wire Harness?

Main harness doesn't interface at all with aftermarket lights (which you have).

Yes, there is a 9 pin white connector in the dash. The other half of the connector harness is present as well. However, someone has done some surgery to both the secondary harness and to the RED, RED/WHITE and WHITE wires in the main harness to power the headlights (that do have amber turn signals) with a toggle dash switch. It appears they are drawing power from RED down the second harness, thru a switch, then RED/WHITE back up the second harness to main harness, then distro to the right/left via two R/W splices into the R/W on main harness, and the two WHITE returns spliced into the WHITE main harness wire. The Yellow arrows indicate harnesses to the left and right headlights, each of which have 3 wire connectors for the lamp and turn signal.

The secondary harness has been altered as per the pic.

All this hacking bugs the heck out of me, and I would like a nicer install as I'm looking to add the brake light relay and turn signals.

(Hmm...having trouble uploading pics..?)

OK, I think are photos too big, as the upload app just crashes. Will resize down to @300K and try again tonight. Stay with me.....

OK, resizer error corrected.

The big white connector is there, as well as some secondary harness. However, someone has done some surgery to both the secondary harness and to the RED, RED/WHITE and WHITE wires in the main harness to power the headlights (that do have amber turn signals) with a toggle dash switch. It appears they are drawing power from RED down the second harness, thru a switch, then RED/WHITE back up the second harness to main harness, then distro to the right/left headlights (yellow arrows) via two R/W splices into the R/W on main harness, and the two WHITE returns spliced into the WHITE main harness wire. The secondary harness functions simply as the switched wire RED power, RED/WHITE to load. The Yellow arrows indicate harnesses to the left and right headlights, each of which have 3 wire connectors for the lamp and turn signal.

The secondary harness has been altered as per the pic.
