Default Got a leaner!

My 02 TXT leans to the drivers side pretty good. I was thinking of just swapping springs side to side for now.

The question is, do I swap rears, fronts or both?

If it's fronts, are there any tips to make it easy?

If I was going to go through all that I would replace both of them (the rear).

I read through the thread, Thanks for posting that.

It looks like there are a few ways to address the problem.

I'm curious though, did you try and swap springs first? And did the longer shackle affect the shock? I made a set of longer shackles for a CC, and it put the shocks at the limit of travel.

Whoa! My marathon leans bad, I thought if I replaced the shocks it'd fix it. I'm glad I read this! The lean is most obvious from the front, does that mean a new front leaf would fix it? Any way to tell which one is failed? The fronts are half the price of the rears...

Shocks are just to keep the cart from bouncing when it hits bumps. They slow the compression and rebound a little.

Springs and shackles are entirely responsible for ride height and only the springs are responsible for any sort of leaning.

I did not swap springs. I fabricated the longer shackle and it solved my carts leaning problem.
My shock was not affected.

There is no magic wand cure for this. If you want to know why it is leaning you need to remove them and hold them side by side. If they match something else like a bent frame or axle is the culprit. If they aren't the same arch swapping side to side just moves the lean.

Uneven shackles doesn't cure anything but the appearance. You still have the problem.

Oh, sure, I get there's a problem. If I had to guess, it was the 350# pig farmer that owned it before me!! lol

I'm completely serious. He had a pig farm.

The finished product turned out pretty decent though.

I was more interested in if guys were finding the front or rear springs responsible for a lean.
