Default Throttle question about C54 from Carts Unlimited

I have a 1998 club car ds 36v series cart. I purchased the C54 kit from Scottyb. I have hooked everything up, checked and double checked my instructions and wire diagrams. Put the batteries in to test it out.

The issue is: I turn the key on and press the throttle the solenoid clicks, the light on the Alltrax blinks green once (0-5k) then goes solid (green). With the pedal now pressed down the wheels do not turn, only when I lift the pedal will the wheels begin to turn. The cart accelerates as the pedal returns back to its natural, non-pressed state. When you remove your foot the wheels stop.
Never once has the orange light came on to indicate full throttle.

The diagram provided in Scottys kit states the controller will flash 3 green which would indicate 0-5V throttle programmed.

Do I need to reprogram the controller? Should the throttle setting be 0-5V?

Don’t know much about his kit but sounds like the throttle is backwards. Either you have a couple of wires hooked up wrong or need to set the controller to throttle setting 3 or 7. He should be along at sometime to answer this. It is a holiday weekend.

My thought is the throttle setting should be set to 3 based on the diagram provided. I am just looking for some confirmation on this. I am in no rush. Thanks.

I had the same issue. Needed to download the alltrax software and change setting to 0-5v setting and it worked.

I changed the throttle setting to 0-5v, 3 green blinks on controller. Pedal seems to work properly now. It was as easy as downloading the Alltrax Toolkit software and switching to the proper throttle setting.

Awesome. Enjoy the new fun! I cannot believe the difference from the old resistor cart to what it is now.

Thanks guys. I need to wire up the volt meter and zip tie up the wire looms still. Oh and get the brakes working better. Then I will get to test drive! But it will have to wait until after the Memorial Day picnic.

That’s a great kit. I never regret buying them.
