Default Club car 48v cold weather issues

I have 2004 Club Car 48v precedent with 4-12v Trojans and a Curtis 250 controller , six inch jakes lift knobby tires all else stock.Batteries are about two years old. During cold weather( below 32 is cold here in AL) the cart cuts out starting off sometimes but if you let off then get back on it will go smoothly for a moment then cuts out again. Sometimes it will not move at all( no selenoid clicking or anything) but when the ambient temp warms up the cart runs fine with no issues. All these things happen no matter the battery charge level ( full or near dead)The pack voltage is between 50 and 52 volts .Water levels in batteries is good.Does anyone have any idea what might be causing this?

Yep. Very common with cart drawing too many amps for the battery pack at cool temps. Put the cart back on stock size tires and it will probably run fine.

If the solenoid is not clicking, try this next time it happens: Unplug the two pin connector from the MCOR (under the floor and connected to a linkage from the pedal) and jump out the connector with a paper clip or a small piece of wire. It will be a blue wire and green wire connector.
