Re: Club Car accelerator pedal intermittently works
Does this happen when you first get on the golf car after it's been sitting all night? Or does this happen often? If this is only happening after the car has been sitting, it's normal operation. The vehicle goes into sleep mode. It takes one cycle of the pedal, and about a 3 second waiting period before the vehicle will be awake and ready to go. Often, people will say they have to pump the pedal several times to get it to go, but in actuality they're just pumping the pedal over and over again until the 3 second waiting period expires. To determine whether your vehicle is in sleep mode or not, put it in reverse and listen for the reverse buzzer. If you hear the buzzer, the system is awake. If the buzzer does not sound, it's asleep. This is very helpful to me in awakening a sleeping car. When I approach a vehicle that's in sleep mode the first thing I do is turn on the key, put it in reverse and press the pedal once. I then wait until the buzzer turns on and I put it in forward and drive off. Won't have to do it again until the next day after it sits all night.

Re: Club Car accelerator pedal intermittently works
My golf cart will do this all day long...start to finish...now every time. After stopping for a shot...only a minute or so...it will not go until the 2nd or 3rd time i depress the pedal. It used to take 2 depressions to go but now more times than not it takes 3 depressions. Always goes fine once it starts. Any other ideas?

Re: Club Car accelerator pedal intermittently works
Could be the microswitch inside the mcor acting up..To test it remove the 2 pin connector from the mcor and jump it with a paper clip or wire..Worth a try..

I agree, sounds like an MCOR issue.

If it is a bad MCOR then where is the best place to get a quality
one? If that is the case, I wasted $75 on the last one. |

Re: Club Car accelerator pedal intermittently works
Ok I have an update on my problem with my Club Car precedent intermittently not going. I took a paper clip and jumped it in the 2 hole connector. When I would press on the accelerator I hear the solenoid click (as I did when the MCCOR was connected). The cart behaved about the same as when the MCCOR was connected. What I do notice is that if i press the pedal and the cart moves and then i stop---then press the accelerator again within 1-5 seconds of stopping it would start again every time. BUT when I would stop and the cart would sit still for about 10 seconds or longer and then pressed the pedal nothing happens (still hear solenoid click). But if I press the pedal again right after that--it goes. Does anyone have any other ideas?

Re: Club Car accelerator pedal intermittently works
It may be a bad Solenoid, the controller does not release the Solenoid until a few seconds after the cart stops.
If the Solenoid is failing, it would behave as you described. |

FYI HPD means High Pedal Disable
OT (Off Topic) but here are some more for further reference: EOL = End of Life/End of the Line SRO = Should Return to Zero OC = Overcurrent QE = Garbage PowerWise QE charger ERIC = The equally garbage Club Car version of the QE. |
