96 club car motor series
Happy holidays to all. My cart was acting very strange and it was suggested to get a new solenoid. No luck but a definite clicket. I know the controller is difficult to diagnose with pins. Is there a way I can check at the motor if the controller is working well?
Thank you |

Re: 96 club car motor series
Ok. I'm getting closer to controller problem. All I can describe is that one tire spinning means nothing to the other. It's jacked up so when I hit the gas only one tire spins. I think it's just a brake issue as the tire won't turn. Then I remove brake shoes cover piece I still am getting alot of back and forth resistance. Please help. Other than this cart runs as of now.
Thanks |

One wheel turning is normal for golf carts.

Re: 96 club car motor series
I really appreciate your help. Thank you. My problem originally was that after just replacing continuously variable with mcor4 kit I couldn't go over about 8(supposedly can do 25 as it's street legal) will a carts wheels run slower if it's jacked up? I can't believe I was getting 25 mph. Yesterday, pre-work I had to switch from one hand to two to get wheel/tire to spin but rotor slid off by hand with little effort so I was questioning stuck brakes. I've hopefully completely updated brakes as good as I can. (It stops). Thanks again for your help guys

Re: 96 club car motor series
If a tire is stiff rolling for 3/4 of the roll, spins good last 1/4 and repeats but is silent and pushing brake spring doesn't free it

Re: 96 club car motor series
Anyone is welcome to call me crazy but is there any reason for a wheel with a firm 3/4 rotation to lose most of stiffness rotating (good thing) when lugnuts are loosened. Got tough to spin again when I tightened them. Please help, I'm one idea short
Thank you |
