Default Ive been bamboozled

So you can see what all i have done to my cart in my Sig.
I decided to take out the big motor and stuff a small 36v motor in it to get some more speed .. and well thats not the case.
I only got like 1 more mph out of it
HOW
I figured with the larger controller and 48v to a 36v motor it would wind it up more and in turn make for a faster cart.
What am i missing here

I reallllyyy dont want to spend 500 bucks to get another 5-10 mph

Currently the D&D high torque keeps me at about 20ish

As we used to say in the automotive world, there's no substitute for cubic inches...

I think this is a case of misunderstanding rather than bamboozle.

well my thought process was .. more voltage to a smaller motor would mean it would spin faster, correct?

if you were to stick 48vs in a 36v cart it would technically go faster

am i wrong?

I think it is a matter of reference, placing a 36v motor on a 48v cart would technically make it go faster than it did at 36v, but it would not necessarily faster than a 48v motor on a 48v cart.

understood.. but with a torque motor for a 48v and a stock motor for a 36 i figured it would be faster .. not the same in speed

It was a 20$ gamble

i really want to go faster .. but the money its gonna take is just to much

Since the 36v motor sounds kinda of disposable, install a "Field Weakening" switch and it will definitely run a lot faster.
