Default What to do with old 12V batteries?

I recently replaced the 4x12v U.S. batteries (the blue ones) in my 2008 Precedent with a set of Allied Lithium.

I did so because the previous cart owner said the batteries were tired. I was able to drive the cart with the old batteries a couple of miles but never pushed it farther than that because I didn't want to get stuck. The cart was slow-ish, but after putting in the Allied batteries, it was still slow, which turned out to be the speed sensor.

Now I'm wondering if the old batteries were actually that bad, or if it was the speed sensor all along.

In any case, I'm lazy, have no need for and no interest in trying to do anything with the old batteries except get them out of my garage. Is there any market for them? I'd rather get some $ than no $ of course even if it is just a little bit.

Would a local golf cart shop have any interest in them? I don't want to sound stupid by calling them up and asking if not (I'd rather sound stupid on here with you guys). LOL

Current core value on a 12V is $27/each. You might be able to work something out with a local cart maintenance provider to get at least $20 each out of them, or a credit towards the purchase of some other part or service.

I took my old 8v batteries to a recycle/salvage yard. If I recall correctly I got $13 or $14ea for them. You will get more for 12v since they are heavier.

Try pawn shops too. I found one willing to take some old golf cart and trolling motor ones. Since they were deep cycle. I got $20 each.
