Battery Life?
How long should an electric club car run before needing a charge on 6 brand new batteries? 36v. Mainly flat terrain.
Thanks! |

Re: Battery Life?
For starters, brand new batteries are only at about 75% strength (not state of charge, but range wise). They must be properly broken in to obtain full capacity. See the attached PDF file for break in procedures.
As far as runtime goes, it depends on many factors (amp hours of batteries, drive system type, driving style, terrain, etc.) A rough estimate of a stock golf cart is ~10 miles before needing to recharge. In addition, never let the batteries go below 50% SOC. Below is a handy chart. |
