Default Lester Summit II float/trickle?

I have a summit II that I just got with Trojan T-875’s. It doesn’t seem to go into float mode after it’s done charging. Is this due to a profile that I don’t have loaded? I just loaded the default 875 profile.

I'm not sure what you mean by float. Mine shuts off after the charge cycle, and won't come on again until the batteries drop below a preset voltage. I'm not sure what that is because it hasn't sat long enough to come back on.

Think of like a trickle charger or battery tender that keeps the battery at top voltage all the time. Maybe that’s not an good idea for these batteries?

Only certain profiles have Float charge. It's not included in most Golf cart battery profiles because it's not necessary, and it will shorten the life of the pack if left on Float continuously vs stopping the charge when its done charging.

You can look through the Cloud profile list at the descriptions until you find one that matches the profile for Trojan if you really want it. But it's really not needed for a golf cart application, and the maintenance feature will top the batteries off automatically as long as the charger is left plugged in.
