Re: Club Car DS Motor Upgrade
My MOT-A1 with 23" tires and 6 inch lift with 700amp fsip only hit 21-22 mph.... Got a custom motor from EMP and now does about 28 rather easily.

Re: Club Car DS Motor Upgrade
Update. While waiting for my new motor, my cart died. It had a loose terminal in the motor that I new needed fixed, but I wanted to have the new motor here before I messed with it. But since it does, I did the fix yesterday with the motor still a few days away. So I replaced the brushes in the motor. When I opened it up, the ceramic insulation on the loose stud was compleltly destroyed on the inside. It was essentially dust. Motor was gross. I cleaned it all up and put it back in. Now, when I hit the pedal, I hear the solenoid click, but the cart only creeps forward or backwards very slowly a few feet the dies on me. Pack is fully charged. Getting voltage to everywhere I should, I think. Could this just be the motor burnt up? The terminal must have been loose for years for all the damage I saw. Will a new motor fix this or could it be the v-glide, speed controller, or something else? I Love this cart and will put the money into fixing it the right way, I just want to make sure I am addressing the under lying issue. Any ideas or thoughts?
