Default Speed of cart

I have a cub car....cant remember the year 90s i think.anyway,,the batteries are about 5 years old when i got it this year,,,Question is...it has a lift kit on it,,wide tires...top,,Back seat with the feet rest,,Just don't have much power..on level or hills...the pedel goes about half way down before it takes off..I did adjust it to catch alittle earlier..But the speed did not pick up...is it the Batteries,,or something else......its 48V too,,,thanks

Charge it up . . . check pack voltage and also individual battery voltage . . . post results here . . . that's the starting point . . .

we need to know if its a 36 volt cart a 48 volt cart if its a controller cart or resistyor cart.......how many soleniods? theres a tag on lower dash ceter of cart the 1,st 2 #,s are the year............................look at the batteries if there are 4 water fill holes and your charger receptical is round its a 48 volt if batteries have 3 holes and your plug is a crows foot then 36 volt....................................

you need a multimeter. red to +, black to -. write down the results and post them here.
