yes..to the THIN wires. Not the heavy wired main posts.. Leave the wires connected while you measure ....

does not matter which way you connect the volt meter .if it's digital it will read eith plus or negative voltage . if the meter has a SWINGING scale then the meter will go backwards toward the "ZERO" and you must reverse your test leads

Thanks for the answers. Is there a certain amount of current to look for? This may or may not be true , but I thought I read on a similar discussion that there are 2 sepere selonoids for this cart?

I have a digital meter on which I am getting roughly 4 volts and more of a pop instead of the click? May be because the seat is off and the sound is not deadend? I didn't get the pop but twice out of 5 tries. Oh yeah, no go either. This is really frustrating.

the 2005 club car precedent has only one solonoid and the VOLTAGE (not current) should read 48 volts at the solonoid coil wires ( thin wires)

switch set to RUN

Aggie,
Did you ever get this figured out? I am having a similar problem with the same cart and was curiously following this thread.
Thanks

swammy welcome to BGW.............why not start a thread and post as much info as you can and we,ll see where to go ...............i think you,ll be ahead of the game as 2 carts doing the same thing can have much different issues and sometimes its the tinyest bit of info that makes the difference...................................
