Battery light doesn't work
Hi guys,
My battery idiot light never worked from day 1. I just installed a new one, but no luck I'm now going to reset the OBC (following the sticky). Does anybody know what would cause it to not work After I finish the reset, I'll report back my results. I tried unplugging the charger during the charge as way to test it??? Thanks, Steve |

Re: Battery light doesn't work
I followed the sticky on resetting the OBC. The reverse buzzer never sounded, like the sticky said it would???
Any Ideas?? I'm sure this must be a fairly common malfunction. Again, everything works perfect, except the battery idiot light. |

Re: Battery light doesn't work
If it lights up, it is usually an indication of a problem of sorts . . . charger unplugged resulting in an incomplete charge below 90% . . . voltage drops below 48v with no load . . . batteries below 25% capacity . . . charger times out after 16 hours . . . etc . . . maybe you haven't had any of these conditions . . .

Re: Battery light doesn't work
Thanks steve,
You are prolly right. I hate to do this, but to test it, I'm going to let the batts run down until the light comes on. I have a volt meter installed, if batts get too low and there is no warning light, I'll get it on the charger before it's too late. I'll post back results, Steve |

Re: Battery light doesn't work
Thanks scuba,
I saw that from another post you replied to I just cant get that light to light up. When I have time, I'll trace the wire to the OBC and make sure it's good. Steve |
