Even if you have a programmer, you have to provide your cart and controller serial number to Club Clar and they generate a unique code for your cart that you must purchase from them.

If you had a speed code for a controller, why wouldnt it work on another controller? Why would the cart serial number matter?

. . . CC has a secret "formula" (algorithm) they use to build the speed code 4 with using a combination of the cart's serial number and controller serial number . . . the "code" would be only valid for that one controller . . . they are so confident with their system of building the code, the controller only has 3 attempts for you to "guess" the code before it locks itself out . . . you would then have to send it (controller) to CC for them to unlock it . . . while locked out, speed code 4 is unattainable, even with the proper code, from what I understand . . .

. . . did it register a "failed attempt" in the controller? . . . the numbers weren't 128, were they? . . . in any event, you may want to PM Tahoe with your situation . . .

Does the controller serial number on the sticker match the controller serial number of the car? If so, it should work. I'm gonna bet the controller has been changed.
