Re: Terminal protectant spray
I use the CRC brand of protector and it does not dry. That's no biggie to me, I just take a rag and wipe it off to work on the connections! It's a whole lot easier to wipe the stuff off, than to scrape, sand, and wirebrush corrosion off! It works well for me! I've used it for years.

Re: Terminal protectant spray
Any consensus as to whether any brand is better than the other? I'm still on my first can of CRC.

Re: Terminal protectant spray
The Castle brand was always good,so was Noco,I really like the 3M stuff though, and the last time I found it at Ollies discount for under $2 for a large can.

Re: Terminal protectant spray
Maybe I'll buy some 3M and do half with that and half with the CRC and watch how they perform.

Re: Terminal protectant spray
OK, I knew this would happen. When I said you could use anything, I didn't mean you should gloop it all over the battery! You can brush it on the exposed metal ONLY with an old paintbrush or similar..

Re: Terminal protectant spray
As an independent Service shop we saw everything used..... the thing that surprised me the most was spray paint. It works quite will ... were you get it on... The application here is to stop contact with the acidic vapors in the battery bay.
