No-ox-id
Is anyone using this on their connections?
I'm getting ready to order a tube and was wondering if it's as good as they say. "NO-OX-ID is a high-molecular weight conductive grease that does a great job of blocking air and moisture while improving the contact surface's electrical properties. Use it whenever you're doing an electrical installation or repair." $12.95 for a 8oz tube. |

Only on aluminum "house" type wiring. I haven't tried it on anything buggy-wise.

Yeah, it's a little pricey but if it stops oxidation and corrosion plus improves continuity I'll try it. Got to be better than vaseline, maybe.

Dielectric material is a substance that is a poor conductor of electricity while NO-OX-ID does improve conductivity. That's the way I understand it.

NO-OX-ID "A-Special" electrical grease prevents corrosion attack on all metal surfaces. Attack can come from battery acid, salt, moisture and various industrial chemical vapors in the environment. When this conductive paste is used on connectors, NO-OX-ID "A-Special" prevents the reformation of oxide films, which cause high resistance and subsequent failures. |

Heck, I ordered a tube. I'll try it. I've wasted more than $13 before on "snake oil" gimmicks.
