the dreaded wheel bounce
07 TXT,
has anyone had any issues with ITP All trail tires on ITP rims? I have brand new 23" tires that bounce at mid/slow speed and quite a bit at high speed, maybe not quite as bad. obviously not noticeable off road, but they just resurfaced the neighborhood road,so smooth road =bounce My old stock tires were shot so I assumed they were the reason for the wheel bounce, the new tires seem worse, I have new springs coming for the rear, front is all new long travel allsports lift/front end, it did have a little lean towards drivers side before lift, still a little but not as noticeable. what other culprits are there, how do you check for bent axle , hub etc,? any ideas appreciated I think I'll see what happens with new springs , but I think I need these things balanced or something |

Re: the dreaded wheel bounce
Mike, there is a thread in the Lifted cart section about bounce you may want to look at. It seems to have some good info.

Re: the dreaded wheel bounce
The tires should say 22psi max. 25psi works for me.

I agree. If you have a shop that will let you put them on a balance machine check them for out of round. I just had a new 18 inch tire that was bad replaced under warranty the other 3 were fine.

Re: the dreaded wheel bounce
I also have had brand new tires replaced under warranty. These golf cart tires are not assembled with quality control in mind, just quantity. It is not unusual to see a 2% failure rate or higher which is crazy high. My tire dealer said 1 out of 100 come back of a certain size. I believe that number should be higher because not everyone will go through the trouble of contacting the tire dealer and get a replacement.
