Default intro - new build & question

First I have been enjoying this forum, lots of good info here. I recently picked up a new to me 2010 EZGO 36V cart.
It only lasted a week stock and put a lift kit on it w/ HD rear springs and rims and 22” ITP Mudlite tires. Was getting about 20mph out If it that way with a freedom chip in it. The speed was fine but I was not happy with the torque as I am building this to be a hunting cart.
I quickly then talked to Scott B. over at carts unlimited and ordered a 500amp Alltrax controller w/ a HD solenoid and a custom D&D torque motor.
I do have a couple questions on the install thou.

Does this look correct so far?
Are you supposed to mount solenoid upside down so that you can access the controller program port?
Neither side is marked positive or negative ?
Do the red, yellow, and blue cables and diode look to be hooked up correctly?

Camowhaler, there is no top or bottom to the solenoid, so either way works. as far as how you have it hooked up (red, yellow, blue wiring wise) you are good to go. what makes one side + and the other - is how the diode goes....and you have it installed correctly based on the red, yellow, blue wires.

oh and btw..... CONGRATS on the ride, and Welcome to our happy little corner of the net, and to BGW. There is a BIG fridge on the back porch with anything you can think of in it...help yourself...of course only take what you can LEGALLY have. Make yourself at home on one of the big fluffy couches, kick your shoes off, put your feet up on one of the tables, yes we are allowed to do that, mom's, wive's, husbands, girlfirends and boyfriends here don't care....and take it easy.

oh...btw....every once in a while a food fight breaks out...so you may not want to wear nice clothes here.

Welcome!!

Sir nuke, thank you. I thought that I had it hooked up right but wanted to verify as I did not want to fry any of my new toys.
Will finish it up today and take it for a test spin

Some solenoids have instructions for mounting position, usually vertical or horizontal. The reversing contactor DC182 I just bought is one of these. You are never wrong with installing vertical but may be wrong installing upside down on some units. Check with the manufacturer of your solenoid to be sure.

Also, on the back of the motor, I don't have anything that plugs into this?
