Soft Rear End Noise

My 2000 Club Car makes a soft ticking or clicking sound a the lowest speed possible. It goes away immediately when the throttle is touched. I've changed the rear differential oil but it did not solve the problem. I don't think it's a bearing or I would hear noise at other speeds. Perhaps it's just old age but I would be interested in ideas. The cart performs fine other than they annoying noise.

Could be brake shoes dragging just a little. If the sliders don't move freely that can happen.

Had a similar noise...turned out to be the rear bearing in the motor...when it's under load the noise changes and you think you can't hear it...I finally jacked it up and listened to the various parts with a mechanics stethoscope and sure enough the rear bearing was the issue....no stethoscope? Use a short piece of broom handle...it works too.

Back to the original question... but, first? Welcome to BGW spenser!

It sure sounds like a worn guide ring/bumper!
it's a cheap fix, just remember to have the run/tow switch in tow, disconnect the complete battery pack, and mark your motor wires!
