I know this is a silly question...but you did re-pack the bearings while you had the hub off...right?

Your thinking of the earlier style, he has the newer one.

Newer style hubs that use plastic caps have sealed bearings! you can't pack or grease them!

I took spindle to auto shop and got lucky they pressed the bearings off cause the came out of hub. But he said same thing to grind down the spindle a little. What grit of sand paper should i use .

Guess I have been working mainly on older carts...what year did they change to the sealed bearing? With a sealed bearing is there any need for replacement? I know they have used sealed bearing on rear axels on cars for years and years but they still need replacements from time to time...much difference in weight however. Just trying to keep my mental data base up to speed...lol. BTY...Happy Father's Day to all that it applies...!

Not sure what year, but they very dry. Now that i think about it , i bet is wasn't bearings it was the spindle.

Half way through 2003 CC started the use of the sealed bearings, and the black dust cap on the DSs. All Precedents have the sealed bearings
