Re: Backup lights on Precedent ?
If You look closely to the diagram I uploaded, the diode is connected between the Red and Black wires.
The side of the diode with a stripe (called the cathode), is connected to the Red positive wire (This is critical). The Red and the Black wires get connected to the Relay coil 0.187" quick connects. It does not matter which 0.187" terminal as that Relay coil does not have a polarity. The other end of the Red and the Black wires are connected to You Reverse Buzzer, located behind the dash panel. The Polarity is important on the Reverse Buzzer side. The Red wire gets connected to the Pink wire on the Reverse buzzer (Positive). The Black wire gets connected to the Orange/White wire on the Reverse buzzer (Negative). The 0.250" quick connects of the Relay are like a OFF/ON switch. The Contacts are Normally OFF, but they close when the Reverse Buzzer comes ON and Energizes the Relay. Just run Your +12v power to the Reverse Strobe lights in Series with those contacts as if You were wiring it to a simple toggle switch. |

Re: Backup lights on Precedent ?
Can I get a little more detail on the diagram. I am not very good at this. Especially how and where you wire the diode. Thanks.

Re: Backup lights on Precedent ?
Sergio, sorry, I did not see your response before I asked again for details. Thank you very much. I think I can get it from here. Appreciate all of the help.

Re: Backup lights on Precedent ?
Dale-D, Can you post a diagram on how you wired the diode and the relay to turn off your voltage regulator? And would this affect a digital battery monitor on the 2015 Club Car carts? Thank you.

Re: Backup lights on Precedent ?
I am super late on this but on the diagram it shows a +12v, is that going to a separate 12V power source or is that the positive on the lights?

Re: Backup lights on Precedent ?
The 12v he listed would be either coming from a reducer, one of the 12v batteries in the pack if you are running 12v FLA batteries, or from an aux 12v battery.
