Default FYI Magnet works for 2011 Precedent with Excell motor

Just wanted to let people know that swapping magnets out will get you up to 17 MPH. I have the 2011 Club car Precedent with PH serial number meaning Excel motor.

Magnet works, especially going down hills to!!

Too many people, including myself have tried it and the results are the same, the excel controller unless programmed for speed code 4 when using the stock motor, will effectively not let you go much above 15mph .

What is the model # and color of your controller?

Do You still have the stock motor?

I have an 03 IQ cart , stock controller, new batteries with 12X10X23 tires and I get 19 to 20 MPH on GPS speedo app. At that speed I feel the cart limiting my speed though normal pedal up no braking.

Question : Is that speed code 3 or 4 ?

Plan on putting these 1 AWG cables on that came from Miller welders when the switches got replaced under warranty,

and to stay with topic, would a magnet do anything and fit that motor,??

With stock sized tires:
Speed Code 3 = 14.8 MPH
Speed Code 4 = 19.6 MPH

Taller tires should allow higher speed due to them changing the ratio of distance traveled. BUT taller, wider tires require more energy to do so; so how much more speed if any is always questionable.

I don't think that your going to see much if any more speed by adding a magnet with a stock controller and motor.

Thanks,

I'm happy with the speed and just going to go through cables to insure they are equal. better part is she is happy with it and I have my work cart so driving it at 14 MPH hers scoots.

Yes the controller (#8) is behind the tow/run switch, you would need to take that cover #13 off to get to it.
