Your right, that's good service from them. That's why I usually recommend to people they buy a gas car so they don't need to deal with batteries, unless they absolutely can't, like living in a community where noise is an issue. Cool thing is, the new yamaha G29 Drive 2 gas car is extremely quiet, sometimes I still can't believe it

You should usually get 4 to 5 years out of a set of 8 volt batteries, If you take care of them. Check the water and keep them charged
