Default Charger at 65 volts

Is it normal for the charger to put out 65 volts , ?
Worried it's overcharging the batts

Some background: new T875 batts 1st of Dec
Always charged after use
Used it daily for 2 weeks,
cart sat for 2 weeks , no use with batt wires removed

Connected & Checked batts yesterday, 51.5 volts,
charged (not fully) then drove 2 miles . Then charged overnight.

This Am, Drove 2 miles, & put on charger
After a few minutes , charger showing 3 Amps, measured 65 volts

Added water, about 2 quarts total for all 6 batts.
Unplugged charger for a min & plugged in
Came on , off , then on about 3 amps for a few minutes then shut off.
Showed 54.5 volts after a few minutes.
I though it would need to charge after adding water

Backed it up / back in a 100 feet , then connected charger.
On, then off, then on & dropped about 4 amps.
After about 45 min I measured 65.9 volts then a minute later the charger shut off.

After 2 hours, 52.0 volts, batts range from 8.65 - 8.69

Is it normal to charge at 65 volts & does the OBC shut the charger off at 66.0 volts ?

How far up did you fill the battieries? Seems odd to need to add 2 quarts of water to batteries less than a month old.

Keep in mind that when you disconnect the battery cables for more than 10 minutes, the OBC resets.

Once the OBC resets it has no information of how much energy has been removed from the pack in order to do a "replacement" charge.

The OBC defaults to a dV/dt algorithm for the first few charging cycles as it tries to create a baseline "health" profile for the battery pack.

Those charging cycles take longer and raise the voltage higher than a normal charging cycle.

By any chance are the tops of your batteries wet?

Ah !
Maybe good that I had to run the cart shortly after I put it on charge ..

Does the OBC regulate the charge voltage, or is that regulated by the difference between the battery voltage / to the charger output voltage?

No,
Filled to the bottom of the neck, just to where the little vertical slots start
