Most of us wire it directly to the battery pack. Like orangeman6 said we like looking at it at all times. That's the way I would go.

Ok then should i just cut the current ones, or can I just wrap them in electrical tape? What gauge wire should I run to the batteries, I'll have to buy some.

Wrap them up and save them just in case. 18 gauge will work fine. Use quick disconnects to make this easy to put this together or just take a part later if need to be.

The two that go into the loom go to the + and - of the pack and are constant voltage. If you want it switched use the black for - and the red coming from the key switch.

Not to beat a dead horse on this subject, but I just purchased and installed the meter and 3 hole plate from scottyb and I am very impressed with his service and the quality of the product. Now I just need more income to buy more great stuff from him.[emoji12]
