Now this has me excited. If this voltmeter works, I'm looking forward to monitoring the levels to see if I can figure out why I don't get the distance I should in my cart!

The SOC meter arrived, and sorry to say, it is not plug and play. It is compatible digitally. 3.3V/0V is within acceptable range of the 5V/0V of the RXV I/O port.

The leads are not connected to the meter or the switch, and no instructions are provided to tell you which wire plugs into which terminal. If it were not for the fact that I know the RXV harness so well, I would not have attempted it. I would take photos but I must get on the road for my trip to DC.

Delta Q chargers will turn back on when battery voltage falls to a specific level

My Delta Q RXV charger did not, I had to unplug and replug. Only the 2Five onboard charger did that for me.

The OEM meter does an alright job, but it relies solely on the motor controllers idea of what full & empty means. The meter is just a dumb terminal relaying the controllers idea of what's going on to you. Also know that the factory meter (and controller) considers 20% soc to be "dead", as that is where the factory controller starts slowing you down to a crawl.
At what point does the DPI accusense charger cut back on? I'm going to order one. Is there anything I have to do to it to make sure it operates in float mode?

Nope. Charger has leds that tell you what it's doing. Cart voltmeter will confirm it if you are worried. Literally plug and go!

If you don't specifically ask DPI for a accusense charger that "does not float charge", yours will hav float mode. What point does it come back on? Read my previous post more carefully, it never turns off, but it closely regulates voltage to just above the "at rest" voltage. It won't just sit there and cook the batteries...

CGTech - I just got the DPI Accusense Charger and when I plugged it into my RXV, the light on the actual cart next to the charger port is not blinking anymore like when I plug my other charger in? Is this common for the DPI? The charger itself shows its charging???

Go with a DPI charger like cgtech said.
USGI - I asked this question to cgtech too.

I just got my DPI Accusense charger and when I plug it into the RXV the little green light on the cart next to the charger port does not come on to show its charging like when I plug my other charger in? Is this common with the DPI charger? The charger itself shows its charging, just the light on the cart does not.
