How fast can I go
I have a 1993 Marathon, after checking in w/ scottyb, I've decided on a 500A controller. How fast can I get to leaving it at 36v.

Re: How fast can I go
Whatever the speed was before installing the 500A controller will be the speed after installing the 500A controller. A higher amp throughput mitigates the low end torque, but does not alter the top speed.
To increase the speed on a series drive cart, you have to: a. Increase the battery pack voltage. (Going to 48V increases both speed and torque by 33.3%) b. Change the final drive ratio. (Tire height alters final drive ratio) c. Install a high speed motor. (If there is one available for a 93 Marathon) d. Some combination of a, b & c. |

Re: How fast can I go
Now that you say that I remember reading something to that affect. I wanted more torque because my campground has some reasonably steep hills.
